Green
So far this weekend, I have:
wandered around Old Town & bought cigar boxes for storing art supplies, hung out with some awesome kids, gone grocery shopping, had a long breakfast and coffee outside, spent time with my sister- reading, good tv, good food & beverages- worked out, read the paper at Starbucks.... and it's only Saturday afternoon. And tonight: a Sondre Lerche concert.
This year was extra fun because my mom got to come along with Christy and I - she even endured the insanely hot weather for us (note the ice cream truck parked next to the book tables).
One of the best things about walking toward the book fair is that all of a sudden it's okay to be a nerd. The Strand book bags, Reading Is Sexy t-shirts, glasses everywhere, and armloads of books...and suddenly you feel almost normal.
It's almost overwhelming how many books are there...overwhelming but awesome.
This is one of my favorite displays every year: card catalog drawers full of books.
Here's what I came home with:
See you there next year? Keep an eye open for me: I'll be the one with the glasses and B&N book bag...
