source Do you ever feel like Anne Hathaway at the beginning of The Devil Wears Prada? Running out of the house at the last minute, swiping on chapstick and a baggy sweater and calling it a day? Believe me, I have nothing against chapstick. (And I actually look like Anne in this picture more often then I would care to admit.) I am a pretty simple girl. I hate high heels, have never worn a blazer, and don't own expensive brand name clothes. But I do like style and I like feeling like my clothes reflect me. |
source While we can't all have Stanley Tucci around to give us free Prada bags and Miu Miu boots (sadly), I think it is entirely possible for every woman (no matter what your age, size, or shape is) to have affordable clothes that you like and that are easy to wear. Wouldn't it be nice if getting dressed in the morning was a little less stressful and a little more like playing dress up when you were a kid? I'm starting a short series each Monday on making over your closet to give you some tips on how to do just that. I'm not guaranteeing you will look like Anne Hathaway by the end of this series, but hopefully you will feel a little bit more pulled together on your next Starbucks run. |

Ooh, fun! What a great idea for a series. I can't wait!
Also, great movie choice - love 'Devil Wears Prada!'
you had me at:
"I hate heels".
Why is it that good fashion is always associated with heels? I'm looking forward to it Jenny.
I am also looking forward to reading about this. Great idea!
