a Christmasy house tour...part one

I know it's four days till Christmas, but I just can't help myself...my sister and I had so much fun decorating this year. Ready for a tour?

The Kitchen

Truffles, wine and snowmen

a Christmas tree cookie jar:
a post-graduation present from my lovely friend Kate

The Christmas chalkboard

we found the perfect spot for all the very little decorations.

mistletoe, of course

I made these ornaments years ago from a Martha Stewart magazine;
now they hang on the twinkle lights- because glitter is okay at Christmas,
so you might as well go for it.

cookie cutters and flowers and lots of candles

a Starbucks snowglobe for the coffee corner.
Although it rarely snows in Seattle. So- inaccurate, but festive.

My Bedroom

Pipe cleaner snowflakes. Also made years ago from a Martha Stewart pattern.
They end up in a different place in the house each year.

A Christmas garland made while watching a Hallmark movie.
Does it get more festive?

I cut out red and green paper and old sheet music
using a hole punch I got from my Grandma...a fun project.

A Fontanini nativity set...one of the many things I forgot I had in storage!

The picture in the silver frame is of my mom and my uncle
years ago during a Christmas in Vietnam.

Stay tuned for part two...

oh it's so cozy & quaint! I love your apartment and it's inspiring me to continue decorating ours (i was totally not on the ball this year) and i'm thinking of leaving up the decorations all winter long...who doesn't need some glitter in february, right?

I'm a little upset about the uncle and not the aunt in a picture on a cute little shelf. Cute apartment. Let's see the new quilt.

HMMM...wonder what I'm getting for Christmas?
